Malcolm X's Daughter to Speak at University of Wyoming

The third daughter of slain Muslim leader Malcolm X is the keynote speaker at the eighth annual Martin Luther King Jr. and Days of Dialogue celebration at the University of Wyoming next month.
Ilyasah Shabazz, who is an author, lecturer and human rights activist, is scheduled to speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, in the Wyoming Union Ballroom.
The theme of this year's celebration that runs from January 18-22 is "Poverty, Politics, and Race"
Shabazz was only 2 years old and present when her father, Malcolm X, was assassinated in 1965 in New York. Malcolm X is considered to be one of greatest and most influential African Americans in history. His fight for equality and freedom for African Americans will remain a legacy for generations to come.
